Thanks for the link TD - that's one heck of a mine :eek:. Incredible to think how much effort must have been involved in digging that.

More to the point where did they put all the earth and rock?......
 
Trust the Soviets to ruin their part of the planet.They did the same thing with the Aral sea when "Uncle" Joe Stalin wanted to grow cotton there,to irrigate the cotton fields he had the Aral sea drained. Now it`s almost desert.
