"the-best-promo.com" hyjacking IE

I have run AVG antivirus and SpySweeper adware / spyware software several
times, including running in Safe Mode, and all is clear. Then when opening
files in IE 6.O all of a sudden a window will open to
"www.the-best-promo.com". I can't figure out where the instructions to open
this site is hiding. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i am having the same problems here ted, but only only on 1 machine of 7 or
so, have you tried the microsoft antispyware software, i have been using it
for a while now, it has found many things for me, and proven itself useful
many times over.
In my home here i have to keep things clean and safe I have a sat system
that would blow the average joes mind away!!! Instead of buying a dvr, i
built a pc for each sat receiver that is loaded with hardware, all wireless,
mostely wireless that is, but is all tied into my home pc network also
wireless, sothat anyone in the house can watch tv, on just about any pc, or
even the laptops that i use for my job, as well as for my stuff at home..
FTA satalite that is the only way to go.. now connected to 11 birds
receiving about 6000 ch's world wide!!
