Best? A matter of opinion. Deep Burner Free is pretty solid.

CDBurnerXP Pro. I tried several freeware programs (don't want to try
to name them from memory) and found this one to be the easiest to use.
It's worked well for me.

Hi Karen,

Well it seems it is indeed a good burner, I have just started using it, I
think mine is Pro3 I'm not sure but its certainly the latest, and it works
perfectly.......I had installed a proprietory one that came with my new pc
but for some reason it stopped working it was "Sonic" and so I switched to
this one and it works perfectly. :)

Hi,

I'm using it now after having downloaded it, absolutely works
brilliantly..and as you say, it is "easy to use". I think so much software
maybe good but it is having such a steep learning curve that it actually
takes away from the usefulness of it. In the same way that some alarm clocks
allow you to set the alarm two years in advance etc.et.c

I'm glad you're happy with it. I recently bought a new Sony CD-R/CD-RW
burner that came with Nero. I still like CDBurnerXP Pro3 better.

I learned about it here on this NG. I downloaded three that were
recommended, tried them all, and kept this one.

Karen, have you noted any heavy loading down of your registry data
for CD Burner XP Pro3? Seems like I tried an earlier version, but
unistalled it because there lebenty-leben registry entries.
