The alphabet 'T' not shown in IE text

Hi guys

I just installed windows XP professional 2002 service pack 2. and this prob
crops up. Whenever i came to a site where theres the letter 'T' in the
heading of the article, it wont show 'T' as in the word. the letter 'T' will
be a blotch instead. wats wrong with this? its annoying cos it makes it hard
to read some text in a page. anyone help me pls?

Try a different font?

If it isn't a corrupted font it could be the effects of malware.
