The problem is not that I cant open programs, its that
the ALL PROGRAMS on the start menu wont work. This
problem has happened on about 30 computers I have but it
did not happen all at the same time. If I change the
start menu to classic, the programs says its empty. There
is no group policy set. I have run a virus scan and
nothing was found. I have been watching the news groups
and other people are haveing the same problem.
Thanks Chris

Hi Chris,

Try Sharon's advice. Another reason which I think of is incorrect file/folder permissions:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Start Menu
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu

See if you have access to these folder and their sub-folders . Not sure if it will work, but a good one to start with.
