While MowGreen and everyone who volunteers here likes to get thanks, we do
prefer that the thanks stay in the original thread.. This way when people
search later they will not only see that a solution was provided, but that
it indeed worked and be more likely to try it than start a new thread...

ORIGINAL THREAD:
Every time I pass Microsoft Antispyware Beta Version in my computer
it cause damage in my SP2 Firewall. Windows XP Home stop detecting my
SP2 Firewall. How Could I repair this problem without returning my
computer to older date.
Go to Start, Run, and type in
cmd
Click OK
At the Command Prompt, type in
netsh winsock reset
Press Enter

Then type in
exit
Press Enter
Restart the system

The information above is intended to assist you; however, it is
suggested you research for yourself before you take any advice - you
are the one ultimately responsible for your actions/problems/solutions.
Whenever possible, the advice will include the method/places used in
compiling the answer. Also, questions may have been asked to clarify
your situation OR to give you an idea of where to look - do not dismiss
them lightly.

Hi Shenan Stanley,

I really sent my thanks by the original thread, but I think I committed a
mistake.
Instead sending it as a reply I send it as a new question. That was it.
It is my first time in this group and I have learned a lot. It was a good
advice.
I agree with your opinion hundred per cent. That is my policy in my work
here in Brazil.

See you again,

See you again,

The reason you had some difficulties in posting is because you are using
the web interface, which is terrible. Since you are using the web
interface, you may not realize that this is really a newsgroup. You
will get far more out of this resource if you learn to use a
newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you can
use Outlook Express since you already have it.

Hi Malke,

I thank you very much for your aid I am going to set up my account soon in
order to improve my knowledge in Microsoft internet softwares and others.
It will be very good because I will learn two subjects I like very much,
English and Informatics.
My work area is finance but I ever have liked informatics since I was a
young man.
Nowadays I am 56 years old man retired from public service and trying to set
up my own small business and I am happy to know that informatics is part of
all profession or business it is very good.

See You
