Naw, it's Google's way of rolling out their webmail offering. They're
doing it in a sort of MLM fashion.

It *is* odd that the purists aren't all up in arms, since it's a web
service -- not a program -- and it does contain advertising.

not really, most of the "purists" were the first ones to get a gmail account
:)

Me too. I don't see any reason why I should have a Gmail account. What
for heaven's sake can be a good reason to store all mail messages you
ever received? I only save those messages that can be of any value, the
rest is 'bye-bye'.
