Can anyone help? I was in the process of updating my
daughter's computer and all of a sudden I can get to the
Windows update site any more - I just get redirected to a
Thank you screen. I am using IE 6.0, and going through a
wireless connection to a cable modem.

Have not had problems until just a few minutes ago (after
downloading a 'critical' udpate - not sure which one.

Remove the Thanks.asp at the end of this URL and hit enter. You should now
be able to get your updates :-)

Personally (me anyway) there is a issue with the updates, especially if you
are running
Norton NIS. If you disable the Norton NIS, leave the MS ICF on, you should
be able
to get your updates. Apparently there is a known issue with Norton. Norton
also no longer supports MS Messenger above version 4.6.
But you have to disable Norton before you open Explorer.

That was the first thing I tried, but it still redirects
me to this message. I was 'fixed' for a while, but now
am 'broke' again.
