Yo Microsoft jackballs,

Get it together over there! Geez, what if one of these worms were to
format the harddrive after 4 hours of worming activity? No time to
patch, and everyone who doesn't regularly sit in a yogi stance in front
of their computer is toast! One of these days, I swear, some hacker is
really gonna pull the trigger ...

My plea: Kill the open ports and switch to local pipes only for IPC for
all services by default on ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS! I don't want to see
one LISTENING line on "netstat -a -n" on a vanilla Windows install.
Seriously, just do it! PLEASE, I'M BEGGING YOU!! Obviously you are a
failure at finding and buffer under/overruns ... it's time for drastic
measures!!!!!!

How long before you get the pants sued off of you? You think it can't
happen? McDonalds keeps getting sued because their *food* is
fattening!! Sayyyy, my idea about you not closing ports is a good basis
for a lawsuit! ... hmmm, I'll have my lawyer call your lawyers, talk at
you later.

Signed,
Me

Why didn't you have a firewall installed in the first place?

Hi out there

I won't defend M$ products and policies - but - I have
read about how this worm is spread out on the internet -
and I may say - why does somebody put an server directly
on the internet without firewall etc etc ?? Thats just to
stupid!! You cannot ever trust that all software on these
servers are/will be bullet proff - but you can protect
yourself against the most obvious attacks.

Kind regards

Who mentioned servers?
There are plenty of home users that are unaware of the need for / purpose of
a firewall that are being hit by this.

Like others have said, it's getting to the point where you should have to
get a
license to be able to use a computer.

Or that retailers/manufacturers should do more to supply firewalls and AV
software with machines.
