Just bought a Iiyama 17.1 TFT AS4316UT 0.264 81khz Tco95 Digital monitor and
it seems to have a hole in the center right of the screen where no display
appears.
I dont think this resembles dead pixels after reading a description of it.
Does anyone recognise this condition and have a name for it.
Ive requested an rma from the company I bought it from and they seem like
they might be bothersome about it as its been requested to management before
approval.
I dont think this is acceptable for a £500+ monitor.
Thanks for any info in advance.

£500+? Ouch. You should be able to get the Hyundai 17" for around
£259+VAT (Tomhardware's favourite) and the NEC 1701 for £299+VAT (my
favourite).

Yeah I know all that, its not mine actually its my old mans, I wouldnt
and
couldnt pay £500 for a monitor anyhow, its easier to write in the question
that its mine thats all.
Is there a technical name for this term apart from 'piece of shit'.
How big is the hole? 1 pixel, a few pixels, a measurable area?
