I am using Excel to create a form that is fully completed via drop dow
menus, except for 1 column. That column is titled "Comments. I do no
want the person completing the form tofeel forced to enter thei
thoughts in 50 characters or less.

My problem is that although the comment column is formatted to wrap
Excel refuses. Even more curious to me is that when I originall
created the form, I checked all rows for proper wrapping of text. Al
rows but one wrapped. I could not get that row to wrap. I delete
that row and the spreadsheet worked fine. Now a week later, no tex
wrap.

I must be missing something obvious, but it is so obvious, I cannot se
it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

If I understand question: you need to tell Excel where the line breaks are
using ALT+ENTER

Have you merged any cells?

If not, perhaps you need to set the row(s) to Autofit as well as Wrap Text.

If so, read on.

Merged cells will allow "wrap text" from Format>Cells>Alignment but..........

Excel has a problem auto-fitting merged cells.

You can resize manually or via Macro. Jim Rech has written
code for this.

Note also a recent adaptation of this code by Greg Wilson.

The best cure is DON"T USE MERGED CELLS. They cause no end of problems with
copying, pasting, sorting, filtering.
