Hi
I'm creating multiple graphs in PPT and am struggling with text on the Y axis of a horizontal bar graph. The text is not very long yet MS graph is separating the four words to two lines. I've tried resizing the plot area but that hasn't changed anything.

I would like the text to all stay on one line! Does anyone know how to make this happen?

What orientation do you have set for the axis title? If it is four words,
you may have to make it vertical or reduce the font size.

Good point Sonia, however, since I'm creating a business presentation with multiple graphs I would like to keep the font size and direction consistant with the rest and the font is already fairly small. It will be ok. I will just have to deal with two lines - just my perfectionism getting the best of me

Thank you

I run into this same issue at times. Manipulating the size of the plot area
to allow more room for the title sometimes works. But when it doesn't, I
just create the text in a textbox on the PPT slide itself. That way I can
control where it lands.

If you want the text to be in the chart itself, you can draw a textbox while
the chart is open. Then right-click and use Format/TextBox and change the
orientation of the text using the settings on the Alignment tab. (The
Drawing tools Rotate option doesn't work in MS Graph, so you have to use
that Alignment dialog...)
