Text with shadowing in V07

I have a basic string of text that is set on a fade, and it has a simple
shadow. When migrated to V07, the shadow behind the text does not animate.
It appears immediately and then the actual text in front of it adheres to
the animation and comes in afterward.

I have recreated this. Anyone have an idea?

It happens when the text animates by paragraph, not as one object. I set
shadows often and I like to use the cascading fade. If I am forced to create
two text objects, just to shadow the text, that would not be pretty...

Thanks, Esteban.

Do you think this can be fixed in an SP? This one will have repercussions
for me and offer few viable workarounds...

Echocita -- that was the ticket!

Many thanks...so it's not a bug after all, just a bit of obtuse programming
(or obtuse understanding on my part!). Either way, I can live with that...

It's because of the type of shadow you used.

The fact that I reached intuitively for the tool that did NOT work as
expected, and then had to learn about the tool that is not as intuitive adds
weight to your argument. I can add the "wrong" shadow to the text with a
couple of clicks; in order to add the "right" shadow, I must select all of
the text with my cursor and head to Format Text Effects.

I'm fine with spelling it the short way...
