Hi,

Anyone know if its possible to get Narrator (or any other program) in
Vista to just say some
text from the command line?

Basically I am looking for a way in Vista to send some text to the OS
and have it say it (Text to Speech) without displaying a window or
anything...

TIA,

P.

if you have text to speech software setup to do it, maybe the MS network
messenger (where you can make a message popup over the network)
I have never tried it, so that is a WAG.
something like
netsend 192.168.1.*** the network will shutdown in 5 minutes, please save
your work and log off

Thanks, but I dont have any special TTS software setup - I am looking
for how to use those features built into Vista as opposed to something
third-party.

I could write a little program to do it, but after all the advertising
for the SAPI 5.3 and Vista TTS capabilites I assume there is some way
to actually use these features outside of just running the Narrator
software...

Anyone?
