When I am browsing the net, my text size changes from page
to page on its own. I have it set on 'smaller', but
certain pages change it back to 'medium' when they load.
www.msn.com is one of those pages...

Is there any way to stop it from doing that? I never had
this problem until I installed Windows XP.

Hi,
Happens to me occasionally- not very often. You can quickly change the text
size on most pages by clicking somewhere on the page and using Ctrl + scroll
wheel. It's faster than going through the IE menu.

You might want to go to Internet Options> General> Accessibility ... put a
tick by "Ignore font sizes."

Don

This is a great trick which I learned not too long ago. Very useful when
the web designer has better eyes than you.

The downside is that in some sites where the designer has hardwired absolute
positioning of text blocks (instead of letting the browser wedge them in
however), in making the text larger to be readable, the blocks may overlap
(making them unreadable).

So there is no idea why my text size would just change on
its own when I'm surfing the net? I don't see how it
would have anything to do with the resolution settings on
my system.
It seems to me to be more of a bug or a setting within
Internet Explorer. As I said before, I didn't have this
problem until I installed Windows XP.
As a matter of fact, I am having this problem on my new
computer at work as well, and it was just purchased with
XP on it.
I appreciate your help thus far, but if there is anything
else you can think of please let me know.

Many pages these days hard code the text size.
