Text size in some IE articles is unusually small,

Text size in some IE articles is unusually small, while other articles
display fine. This is on computer using XP. On other similar computers, these
articles font is larger size. Also, the article doesn't spread across the
entire window.

Go to Tools>View>Text
Select one fo the sizes there that you would like, close out and close Ie
Reopen IE and see if the text size is larger

or.....

Hold down the Control key down and move the scroll wheel on your mouse one
way of the other to resize the text.

Webpages do not fill screen



The webpages may display that way because of how the webmaster has them
coded. You can try reducing your screen resolution to what the pages may be
coded, possibly 800x600, and see it that resolves the situation. If it is a
result of webpage format, you'll most likely the same thing with other
browsers.
