Hi. I'm lloking for a text searchng program which can search for a
string then output to a file the line where tah string was found then
a couple of lines around it (say 8 or 10 aroun it). Hope you can help.

Inforapid Search and Replace is an extremely horny search (and replace,
if you feel so moved) app. It won't export to file (except a custom .se
file) but you can copy and paste the text into anything you like and save
it from there. A quick search for 'testing' looks something like:

grep will do that, right down to letting you decide how many surrounding
lines will be included for each hit. It's way tweakable.

I can't recommend a Win port, though. If you Google the *phrase*
(include quotes, in other words) "grep for windows", you'll find various
ports. Check 'em out.
