Text quality of custom animations

I have noticed on a few presentations I have formatted
from other people (possibly originating in PP2000)that
some of the text pixelates on screen slightly when custom
animations are applied to it.

A slide with one animated element corrupts the text of the
remaining elements.

Any ideas

At the risk of starting another 'Scruffy Text' thread ...

I tried something and got similar jaggy results without using PowerPoint.
Here's my thoughts (well, the good ones, anyway) ...

- Older versions of PowerPoint used to have a small black border around the
screen.
- Current versions do not
- The cursor XY positions in PowerPoint shows do not jibe with screen cursor
positions
- Stretching images of text corrupts the applied anti-aliasing

So...
I displayed a white sentence on a black background from MS Word. Then I
screen captured it and pasted to Photo Editor. I resized it to a slightly
larger size. And viola! Scruffiness.

Is it possible that the animations section of PowerPoint is still using the
reduced screen size and stretching it to fit the full screen? The
non-animated stuff may be set-up to run full screen, so are still sharp.

Just an idea,
B

Hmmm.... You may be on to something. What happens if you take one of the
scruffy text presentations and run it in a window instead of full screen? Do
you get scruffies/jaggies? I'll try to get time to play today as well, but
if anyone else gets a chance to try and report back that would be
appreciated.

(Apologies if this shows up twice. It expired on me when I went to read it,
so I am re-posting just in case.)
