Text on Gif + _overlay file ...

In a web page, I have a gif with text on it. After uploading both .htm and
_overlay file, the .htm doesn't recognize the _overlay file. Both files are
in the same directory, and properly linked, I thought. (The original gif is
also in the same directory.)

The text of the web page is fine, but the gif doesn't how. You can see the
web page,

http://grubstreet.ca/iamnotabicycle.htm

The _overlay directory exists and the files are ostensibly correctly placed.

Don't know if I've explained the problem well; done my best.

Ideas to correct the problem?

Thanks in advance.

What gif doesn't show ?

While the page looks a bit odd, being left justified, I see nothing else wrong - no missing images, etc
