Text of combo box disappears when using continuous forms

If you have continuous forms set for a bound form (ie the
record source is set) and in the header part of the form
you have a combo box.

When there is no data to display (and allow additions is
set to 'No'), then the text disappears from the combo box.

Once you have added a record the text is displayed in the
combo.

I'm using Access 2000 and I have generated a mini database
which shows this. In the header I have a couple of
unbound fields and an add button. In the detail I have
the data fields and a delete button

Note that this doesn't seem to happen with Access 97

If you want a copy of this database email me at
(e-mail address removed) or give me your email and I'll
send it to you (it is 29Kb when zipped)

Hello,

I am experiencing the disappearing text problem on two machines I'v
just installed ( one a new machine and the other a re-formatted older
system). Both machines are running Win2k sp4 and Acc 2k. The same
application is running on 8 other machines (Win2k and Win98) all
machines patched to currently available levels.

One form displays combo box text fine until a print function is
performed, after the print operation, the combo appears to be empty
when moving to the next record.

The other form has a subform with a continuous form on it, this form
displays the combo box correctly and some time its empty. Again just
on the two new machines.

Thanks,
John Wind :>)
