Text Misaligned on my System

When I open or edit or create PowerPoint on my system the text is misaligned.
When I open the same file on another system the text is OK.

Can anyone tell why this is so?

I am using Office 2007 on Dell laptop D630. Windows XP Pro is installed. I
checked this on a similar Dell machine and the PowerPoint file was OK

This will sound a little crazy but do you have a local default printer driver
installed?
