Hello All,

I know access can send email via an installed email client such as outlook.
My question would be can it send a text message to a pager or cellphone?? If
not, can we setup access to send email without using the installed email
client. Instead use something either built in or enterprise version? The
problem with using outlook, is if the user is not logged into their outlook
then it slows everything down while they log in. Or if they are at another
computer (not their own) then they do not have their outlook to log into.

Really I would like to do both. Send a text message to a pager AND send and
email via a self contained script.

Thank you all for your help!!!!

Bill

Hi Bill,

If the service is Verizon, you can do this:

(e-mail address removed)

WHERE
1234567890 is the phone number

I believe many services do have Internet capability -- you will have to
figure out what to put after @ ... also, there is a limit on the number
of characters, so you have to keep the message short <smile>
