Accidently must have formatted a date and a addressee in
an email document. Now evry time I open Word to start a
document the text shows up at the beginning of the
document box. It also shows up in received E mail
document just before the senders name. To use the
document I have to manually delete the text each time.
How can I go in and delete the text for good so it
doesn't come back. Need Help.
Thanks

what version of office? it's probably something saved in the template - in
ol2002/2003 it's normal.dot. Either delete normal.dot or open it as a
template, delete the text then save.

Dear Diane, My version of Office is 2000. I thank you for
the suggestion. I will try. If my version is different
let me know. CBall001

Dear Diane, I tried to delete "normal.dot" but having
difficulty. I can't seem to find the steps necessary to
get to where I can delete it. When I try to delete it
says I can't because the application "Word is Open. When
I close it I can't get back to where I can delte it.
Regards Cball
