Text in outline mode

Translators often get presentations from clients with unknown formatting.
Recently we have found that although text boxes are editable within the
slide, the text however does not always appearin outline mode. What allows
some text appearing in ouline mode and some not? If it was all visible then
spell checking would be very easy.

Only text in placeholders appears in outline mode. No text will appear when
somethin is written in a shape or in a text box that was drawn on the slide.

Text in "placeholders" shows in outline view, but text in "manual textboxes"
does not.

A placeholder is the box on the slide that says "click to add text," or
"click to add title." "Manual textboxes" are the ones created when you click
the textbox icon and drag or click on the slide to add a textbox.
 
Something MS could deal with perhaps? Many thanks for such a quick reply.
