Text form field length

Hello
Normally, a bookmark can be up to 40 characters long when inserted through the menu Insert Bookmark. But when I add a text form field and then specify a bookmark name in the properties field of the text form field, I can only add a name up to 20 characters. This is a very unpleasant limitation that forces me to use variable names not longer than 20. Any help appreciated, thanks!
 
Hi Michael,

Even if you assign a new name to the formfield via vba, it gets tructated to
20 characters.

All I can suggest is an email to (e-mail address removed)
