text fields only displaying 1 character

We are currently using access 2003 and crystal reports 8. We are now testing
access 2007 but when the crystal report previews only the first character of
the field is displayed in each record. example Help only the H is showing on
the report.
What can do to fix this

I know, personally, a great many Access developers. I know a few Crystal
Reports developers. There is some overlap between the groups. The Crystal
Reports developers don't use Crystal Reports in their Access applications
because, they tell me, there's nothing I can do with Crystal that I can't do
with Access, and much that I can do with Access Reports that I can't do with
Crystal.

That said, what you describe sounds to me like a report-engine problem, and
I'd address it in a newsgroup for Crystal or with the manufacturer of
Crystal (I'd bet there's a Crystal Reports website, and some way to
communicate with them).

the point is we have over 200 reports that would need to be recreated. when
refreshing data in crystal everthing is fine the problem occurs when running
the report through access 2007
