Is there a file that holds the dropdown history you get in a text
field? I am looking for a place on the hard drive where that data is
stored. Any help? This is the "autocomplete" data I am looking for.

It is stored in the Registry in encrypted form.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW
