Using Access 2003 and WinXP Pro. Have a database that tracks demographic
data and basic info about clients.

One text field stores client's first name. On two of the 107 records the
first name no longer shows on screen forms or reports. It is still visible
in datasheet view.

All other fields and records are fine.

Any ideas about what would make existing text data "invisible" on a report
or screen form?

Is it possible that the first character of the first name field in these two
rows contains a character that might be doing some damage (like a carriage
return or a line feed). In datasheet view, this might not show --- but when
formatted in a report or form, it could cause a problem. Bob.

Thanks for the response. I have tried erasing, then retyping entry, which should erase any extra character. Didn't make any difference.

Any other ideas?
