I have been using some Power Point Presentations for a long time and never
had a problem with one of them. For some unknown reason everyone of them is
now having this issue where the text is cut in half when looking in a Slide
Show presentation mode and when looking at in Normal View it looks like the
text has lifted itself out of the text box. What have I done or what can I
do to fix this problem. I am hoping someone has had the same issue and can
help with this. I don't want to have to manually update every slide on every
presentation I use. I have tried from several machines and looked at backed
up copies with the same results.

Are you using PowerPoint 2007? This sounds like you need to install a
local printer driver. More details here:

formatting problems, print, crash problems

David,

I am using PowerPoint 2007 and this morning I did a repair with the CD, but
no changes. It is literally with every computer I use. I have not changed
anything with print drivers and used these presentations dozens of times. I
guess I will follow the link and try it, but I just don't get it how it would
work forever and now choose to have issues. Thanks for your quick response,
let me see what happens.

Thanks again for your quick reply and help. Unbelievablely putting in
another printer "fixed" this issue. I installed the HP they recommended and
set it as a default printer and the presentation is back to normal. When I
change printer default it goes back to the errant viewing.

Now what do I do change my default printer everytime I use PP. What a pain.
Then what do I do when I want to print? Is there not a real fix for this
issue that does not entail this trouble?

Thanks for the help. I really can't believe I have used this for months
with no problem and now I have this issue.

John,

Yes, I am working on that issue now. I am attempting to find an update that
is not a universal, but specific to my printer and its functionality.
Computers can be loads of unanticipated fun.

Well I am still in disbelief that this happened, but after ten printer
installations I was finally able to find the right configuration for
PowerPoint to work correctly. I am grateful for the help from both David and
John. Obviously I never would have thought I am PowerPoint problems let me
check my printer drivers, so I am very happy with your quick help. Thanks.

Great suggestion John, so maybe I can help someone using the same Printer. I
use a Kyocera Mita 3820 N, but the update is for several printers in the
Kyocera and Kyocera Mita family. It fully supports all MS apps such as Power
Point. Once installed open the printer properties, click on the Device
Settings tab. click Auto Configure button. This will allow the driver to
automatically populate which optional devices are installed. Following is
the link for the current Windows Driver:
