Text Box Problem

Every now and then I run into a rather odd problem--I'll have a text box that
has bullets in it, but when I adjust the indentation on the ruler, nothing
happens. It'll show that it should be indented, but the bullets won't be.
This occurrs on presentations I get from other people, so I'm not sure what
they're doing. Anyone know what's causing this? I have to do Paste
Special>Unformatted Text into a new text box to get rid of the problem.

When is a tab not a tab?

In the text box, a tab key may just cause a tab indent, or it may cause an
outline level change (which may look and smell like an indent, but is rather
different). It becomes more noticeable when the bullet points are turned
on, as the bullet types change between levels.

Tab behavior:
Indent x spaces (default is usually set to 5, but ...)
No change in size or formatting of the indented line of text
Bullet point (if shown) on the end of the line closest to the left
textbox edge
Bullet point does not change type/color/size with differing levels of
indents

Outline indent behavior:
Indent x spaces (again, default is set of .5 inches, but users can
customize)
Text MAY change size/font/color depending on the outline level (depends
on what has been set in the Master and shape defaults)
Bullet point will display at the level of the indent (progressively
farther from the left text box edge)
Bullet points MAY change size/shape/color with differing levels of
indentation.

I suspect this is what you are having to fix, bullets with trailing tab
characters, instead of bullets on sub-levels.
