text box max 255?

have a memo field on table, showing on form as text box..does text box
control max at 255? If so, other way to show memo data-type field on form?

No, the text box has a maximum (IIRC) of 64K characters. Have you
encountered a problem that makes you think otherwise? There are a few
circumstances that can cause a memo field to be truncated.
