Text Box in Protected Template

I am trying to create a form in which I have a
combination of form fields, check boxes, and text boxes.
The first page of the form has all of the form fields and
check boxes. I have also inserted a text box in the
middle of the page for the user to enter a description.
I have a text box on a second page to contain overflow
from the text box on the first page (the text boxes are
linked). I have a continuous section break before and
after each text box. I have protected the document for
forms, protecting only the sections that have the form
fields and check boxes. When I try to access the text
boxes in protected mode, I cannot get the cursor in the
text box. Is there any way to successfully do what I am
trying to accomplish? Thank you.

Use text form fields instead of text boxes and protect the whole document.
If you want a specific size for the form field area, put it in a table cell
with exact row height.

This does work as far as the field getting the focus when
the document is protected. However, making the table
cell a set size doesn't limit what you can enter in the
form field, it just limits what is displayed and
printed. Setting the form field size will limit it but
that is not an exact science. The other drawback is that
I can't link the field to another field for overflow
text. However, it appears that this may be my only
option if I want to be able to get the focus on all
fields when the document is protected. Thank you.
