Hi,

I used to know how to do this and I know it's extremely simple but since
it's so simple it simply escapes me at the moment. I want to make the
default font color in text boxes in a presentation white and right now it's
set at black. How do I change it? PPT 2002.

Thanks.

Hi Rich,

Click on Format, Color Scheme, and then click the Custom tab to set the text
the color you want.

HTH,
Glenna

There are two ways to tell your 'puter what color to use on default inside a
text box.

1) Select a presentation color scheme. To do this select Format | Slide
Design | Color Schemes... and then select one that is pretty or make your
own (custom)

2) Create a text box. Format it exactly the way you want (text font, size,
color, border background, etc.). Then select Format | Text Box ... |
{checkbox} 'Default for new objects'. Then select OK. All new text boxes
should start exactly like this one.

Post back if this is not clear or we can help you in any other ways.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

It sounds that, although there are workarounds, you would like this to be a
lot easier to do (or discover?) in PowerPoint(?)

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions for how to
make this easier to do in PowerPoint, don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
