I am trying to use the text box feature, but the text is cut off within the
box. Only the top half of the text is showing. I resize the box and it
shows, but when I then try to copy it, it is cut off again, showing only the
top of the letters.

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreicated.

A text box that is too short will not show all the text. Are you copying
the entire text box or just the text from the text box? Try clicking on the
edge of the text box (not the middle where the text is) and then choosing
Copy from the Edit menu. That will copy the whole text box so that choosing
Paste from the Edit menu will provide you with an exact duplicate (without
the text cut off if you have already fixed that).

It seems though that each time a create a new text box the same things
happens. This hadn't happened until today. Normally, the text appears as
it should. What could've happened? Did I change a setting accidentally?

My guess is that you have changed the default font size to be too big for
the default text box size. Try changing the default text size. To do that,
go to the Format menu and choose Font. Set the Font (normally it is
TimesNewRoman 18, I believe), and check the box for "Default for new
objects."

That helped, but actually the error was that the font came up as "subscript".
Once I changed that all was good.

Thanks for your help.

Great. I'm glad it helped. Thanks for getting back to us.

Hi there.

I am having some issues with .ppt 2007, and Arabic text. I am creating flashcards for my children, with one word per slide, and when I save as .png / .tiff , sometimes, but not always, the tops are cut off of some of the words.

The settings are all the same, line spacing is the same, font and size are the same, and I cannot figure out what is causing this to happen occasionally on some words when saved as png / tiff / jpg formats that I upload into a flashcard program.

Any advice would be appreciated!
