Text Appearing in Slide Show but not in Normal View in Powerpoint

A few characters of text display on the edge of my slide (seems like they are
outside a margin or something) only in Slide Show view. In all other views I
cannot see the text, am not able to locate an object, etc. to delete, change,
etc.
