Anyone recommend a free memory checker program which can be used on usb
flash/pen drives?
Preferably easy to use.
TIA.

Memtest86+, there are 3 or 4 different options one of which
is a DOS executible.

You'd have to boot the USB drive, or boot to a floppy,
because you can't run a bloated OS like windows and check a
reasonable % of the memory.

Hi,
Thanks for replying. Just realised my question might not have been
clear - I want to check a USB drives memory chip, not making a usb
drive bootable to check a pc.

Flash memory used as a "drive" is generally checked as one.
Wear-leveling means it is not a matter of checking address
"X" unless you used a low-level utility which should come
from the drive manufacturer.
