Hi

I have been trying to use my p4 2.2 ghz with 768 mg of ram with some
software that runs on my p4 mobile 2 gig 512 meg ram notebook and I get an
error message that has about 100 'dll type' errors. Is there any way that I
can diagnose these errors or run some program that allows me to test if one
or more of my RAM modules will work?

thanks

Doug

Has the software been installed on the other machine (notebook)? Library
(dll) errors generally occur when supporting files are missing or damaged.
100 dll errors tells me that the software isn't installed. Perhaps you just
copied the program folder over? If so, that won't work.

thanks rick - but i went through the same process on both machines -
separately.

i cant understand the errors and would like to diagnose them

cheers

As Rick has already told you, missing dll errors are not a result of memory
failing.. did you install the applications onto the second machine, or did
you just copy program folders across?

Can you provide some specific examples of these errors, and the names
of the software programs that produce these errors?

Good luck

Mike - I have installed the software on both machines exactly the same.

Both using the standard setup process for the application.

thanks

Hi Doug,

Please provide the name of the software and some specific examples of the
error messages. If certain dll files are always named, please list them as
well. Diagnosing means knowing what modules are involved and their source,
as well as exactly what error is being produced.
