Testing Password Complexity

I am trying to test Password complexity before deploying
it to all of the Domain users but it is not working.

I have created a new OU to test the option and created a
new GPO with the Complex password option checked. To
ensure that the Domain Password Policy doesn't override
the policy I selected the "No Override" option on the GPO.

When I enter a new password it doesn't require me to
enter a complex password to get into the domain.

Any Ideas?
 
Account policies (password ) are 1 to a domain. Account policies set at the
OU level take affect only when logging in locally to the computer.

So as I first thought, the only way to test this
correctly would be to modify the Domain security policy,
(i currently have no test system).

Logging in locally, the account policies *should* get applied. I would think
this is an excellent way to test the account policy on *one* computer,
without disrupting the entire domain.

If this policy works as you expect it to when you test it by logging on
locally, when applying the policy to the domain, you can expect the exact
same results.
