I'm wondering if there is a way to test an NIC card for instability.
I have a dual boot system, win 2000 pro and xp pro and I've noticed
my DSL modem connection light to my ISP provider seems to go bonkers
from time to time and I lose the DSL connection.
Here is what I've noticed things are stable (ie no blinking red light) I
boot to the other OS, do what I need to do, and then boot back to xp, from
then on things are not stable, the light blinks red (ie losing the
connection), and keeps on doing this
I've spoken with my provider, they can find nothing on my line causing this.
when I boot I notice the connection light goes red until the OS loads
completely
(whichever one I'm booting to) so I wondered if it could be the NIC card,
and or the drivers, anybody have a suggestion?
