I'm having some stability problems lately, and I was wondering if there is
some utility out that would be useful there for troubleshooting/diagnosing
problems on a Radeon videocard. Mine is a 9800XT, btw. The card may be
faulty, but I'd like to know some way to be sure.

All help is greatly appreciated.

You might want to 3DMark 2003 or the much more stressful 3DMark2005
(www.futuremark.com). Free versions of both exist, one is DX8 and the
other is DX9 compatible (which of course works with DX 8)...

I don't know why there's been several posts here saying that 3DMark03 is a
DX8 test and 3DMark05 is DX9. They are both DX9 benchmarks. 3DMark01 is DX8
only. Read the description of each on the main page of

Thanks for your feedback, both of you! :)
