Ok I am new to Embedded XP. I do not have a cash
register or any other product that runs E-XP. One of my
customers uses it and is running our software on it.
They are haveing some issues, and I would like to try to
keep their business. I need to figure out how to create
a test environment. I have the Evaluation software for
building E-XP, and have tried building an OS based on one
of my computers hardware setups, but cannot figure out
how to get it on the computer. I must be overlooking
something small or going down the wrong track. HELP!!!

Thanks John

Without knowing whot components are in the build being
used by your customer, I'm not sure that would be much use
anyway...

I am sure that a component may be at the center of the
issues. But in order to determine that I need to be able
to get XPe running here. How does anyone else move this
operating system onto their machines?

The easiest method is to install a "Safe Build" on a different partition
such as full XP Pro, then copy the runtime across the network onto the other
partition.
You can also use Disk #1 of the Embedded Tools/DB to boot the machine if it
supports El-Torito, Disk #1 acts as a WinPE disk, you can copy the runtime
across the network that way as well. You can physically remove the HD, move
it to the dev machine, drop the runtime onto it and move it back the test
machine, you can boot to a bootable floppy to copy the image across the
network.
