Hope someone can advise me how to get rid of the above files describes as
"Trojan Downloader.Dia.A" by AVG which is unable to remove. They lie in the
directory "...Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\WXY..\dlaccell1[1].CAB:\test.ocx" however the sub-dir
doesn't display [not even hidden]. Even tried McAfee/Housecall online
scans - they didn't report the virus at all.

Also went into registry and delete anything related to test.ocx and
dlaccell[1].CAB

What next :( pls I've search in Goggle and didn't find anything that could
help me remove it.

TIA

Internet explorer, properties, delete files (i.e. clear the IE temporary
cache).

You can not mess with this safely or easily in any manual fashion, since
most things 'inside it' are not where they claim to be (you can do so if
you log on as another user - it's just your own cache which is specially
treated).
