Terrible Email Spam

Bill

I get about 30 spam emails everyday by the same server I
imagine. Every single one says it an update from
micosoft with a virus attached to it (norton picks it
up), or it is an email with a message "The following
email could not be delivered" with a virus attached to it.

If I block the senders, the emails keep on coming because
it sends them from different addresses everytime.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? FYI I am
using Outlook Express 6.0 and Norton Antivirus 2004.

Please Help!

Are you using your real email address in your newsgroup posts? If so, create
a fake address because every time you post you are telling the entire world
how to access your Inbox.

Also, create a message rule (for your regular - not newsgroup - email) that
deletes from the server any incoming email that does NOT have your real
email address in the TO or CC line.

Bill,

in addition to the good advice you already got, you could
install a spam filter. One possibility is MailWasher Pro, but
you may prefer a Bayes filter based tool like the one offered by
SpamAssassin.
