Hi,

I've been having a few problems with my computer being
really slow lately because dfrgntfs.exe which is Windows'
automatic defragmenter. It sometimes consumes up to 93%
of the system resources and this is very annoying because
I often need to have multiple applications running/open
na dI need to quickly switch between them. Now from what
I understand, this process is an important, if not
necessary, one for the machine but is there a way to
schedule it at a time that would be more conveniant for
me and if not, is there a way to terminate it and then
restart it because pressing the "terminate process"
button doesn't work at all.

Hello:
shut off the set it and forget it option in disk
defragmenter and set up a scheduled task for defragging
your computer at a time that convenient to you.
