Terminal sessions come to a crawl

while using RDP to connect to a win 2000 advanced server SP4 with TS in application mode users will frequently through out the day notice there sessions come to almost a standstill. this will last until they can finally get to log out of there session and log back into it. Once they log out and back in it will pick up to normal speed again for a while. If they disconnect and go back in it doesn't help, only if they can log off. Have noticed if i close outlook.exe or word.exe while they are in there session it will pick back up and they don't need to log out, they just have to launch outlook and word again. So is there a problem running office XP through TS? I also have "use word as default editor" turned off in outlook and have automatic spell checking turned off in all apps. Have turned on Keep alives, still there sessions slow down and my boss isn't very please with me. Only have 15 users online, dual 2.8 GHz Xeon processors, 2 Gig of RAM, 6 x 15K RPM u320 SCSI in RAID 5 config and gigabit NIC plugged into Gig uplink on a 3com baseline Switch. All hardware should be above par, and all wiring has been tested and is fine. All machines are Win XP using RDP. What can i do to solve this problem, i hope i have given enough information. I need to resolve this ASAP and need some help. Any Ideas?

Thanks Huei, I will try this. Don't know if the ctfmon.exe could really be causing the slow downs, but i'll try anything right now. Will post results tomorrow, if you have any more ideas please let me know.
