I am running Win2k Terminal Server in application mode. As
I understand once a terminal client licence is issued by
the server to a client, the licence gets stored locally on
the client PC. Now how can I release a terminal server
licence that has been issued to a particular client?. At
the moment I have 10 licences and they all have been
issued. One of the computers on the network was rebuilt so
obviously the Terminal Services Client licence for that
particular computer got destroyed since state data wasn't
backed up. When the user logged in he was issued a
temporary licence. How can I get that permanent licence
back?. Is there a way of actually releasing a license?.
There doesn't seem to be a way of doing that. Does that
mean I need to deactivate and then reactivate the server
and then reinstall the Terminal Serices Licence pack?.
Thanks for your help!.
