When connecting to one of my servers using Terminal
Services a I would like to use the options "connection
options - connection startup - full screen" rather
than "connection options - screen area" so I can have the
full use of my screen.

The only problem is I see no way to to get back to my
original client desktop (while staying logged into the
server) to open other local client applications (from the
client desktop or start menues) since all I see is the the
server desktop I am logged into.
If I already have other application running from the
client I can change to them using alt-tab but if not I
can't seem to get back to the client desktop to start any
others without logging off the server first.

Is there a way to swap from the server desktop to the
client desktop if you use the full screen option.

Thanks for you help,
Ken Ford

Also, is there a way to use a percent of the screen rather
than the set 1024x768 options only. This would work also
to solve my problem of gaining maximum use of my screen
area without the screen getting to big - and thus having
to scroll around on it.

Ian,

Thanks - this works great...

Just for my education on how this support website works -
are you from Microsoft support or non Microsoft (a user
like myself).

Thanks again,
Ken Ford

I'm a user, who just happened to be browsing, having posted a question of my
own.

Incidentally, do you know anything about time synchronisation?

Ian

The only thing I really know is it is not very straight
forward to use - it acts as some kind of third/network
drive.

I only know you initially get to it by doing the following:
On mapped folder - right click and click "make available
off line" - then another option will show up "sycnronize"

I did run across some options under the tools tab but have
not really figured it out - sorry.
tools
"syncronize..."

folder options...
offline files

I have been using a product called "secondcopy" and really
find it easy to setup and reliable.

http://www.secondcopy.com/

OTHER NOTES I HAD ON SYNCHRONISATION BUT NOT REAL CLEAR
ABOUT HOW TO USE IT - NOR HAVE I USED IT FOR REAL DATA -
JUST PLAYED AROUND A BIT:

initial setup goes like this
next>
auto sync files when i logon and logoff my
computer
enable reminders
create a shortcut to my off-line files on my
desktop
i think this is located under "documents
and settings\fordk\recent\offline files folder"
if you goto "offline files folder" you get
a subfolder that show up under desktop (only on the
explore screen)

yes - make folders and sub-folders available
off-line --- where do I reset these later - UNDER TOOLS
no - make only this folder available off-line

Good luck with synchronisation I hope you can get it to do
what you need it to.

Ken
