About 3 or 4 weeks ago, some clients have started having trouble logging on
between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 AM. They have to try several times to
get connected. Sometimes they can get back on, sometimes they don't.
Sometimes they get on during those hours, only to get kicked off a few
minutes later while they are working. None of the settings have changed for
their logon hours. I have found no viruses on the server either.

Does anyone have any ideas?

It appears to be a logon restriction but you have checked
this setting.
Are there any events or errors associated with the
conections?
You might have to get a network trace to see the traffic
between client and server.

Are these clients all remote to the network?
Are there RAS logon restrictions?

There are no logon restrictions. Everything is wide open from 12 PM to 12
AM. All users are remote users. No events in the log. We have been running
smoothly for about 2 years.

How would I go about doing the trace???

Thanks for the help,
-David

We have had a similar problem that started last week. We
have a remote office that has recently been having random
users get disconnected but the server still shows them as
active. I am going to post my own question but wanted to
let you know that you are not alone. I am curious how
badly the TS client is affected by recent virus
associated traffic.
