Hi all,

I know which port terminal services uses (3389) but I need to know if this
port needs to be bidirectional or not. The problem is following: We have a
server in the front end zone and I would like connect to it(for easier
maintenance reasons). Therefore I need to open this port but I am not keen
on opening this port from the front end to the back end. Result is that
terminal services isn't working for the moment. Can anyone tell me for sure
if this port needs to be open in both ways this being from back end to the
front end and vice versa.

Thx,

Sense.

TCP port 3389 needs to be open in both ways, since the
client will be sending data and starting the terminal
services connection and the server will be responding and
sending data back to the client.
