Terminal Services and Patches

I have a box with no console, so all access is via Terminal Services. I Installed W2KSP4 and now the system is very slow to log in, and seems to respond slowly (most times) to network access, to the extent that large PST files located on this server lose their connection and Outlook has to be restarted. I believe I have tried all the recommended fixes, but using Terminal Serivices. I have since learned that this is a bad idea! Is their any known way to restore my system?

Installing service packs through terminal services can be
a risky undertaking...

Are there any eventlog entries that may indicate a problem?

The only relevant message appears to be "The redirector was unable to initialize security context or query context attributes. " in the system log, and this in the application log "Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. Return value (1908).
As there is no means to attach a console I had to take the chance. - never again!

Before restore, just read Q828153, this might apply to
your slow logins.

Don't know if you've already done this, but have you tried
to reapply that service pack?

You might want to search eventid.net for those eventlog
errors.

Yes I reapplied the Service PAck which made no difference
Pardon my ignorance, but what or where is eventid.net
Thanks
